"100 seconds on..."
Ok, here’s the pitch…you’ve got tons of wins under your belt and a lot to share about your expert sales and/or management moves, and I keep jabbering on about peak performance and themes like “100% effort”. What if, together, we create some unique content highlighting your expert moves that inspire others?!
Given we’re all overwhelmed with feeds, posts, newsletters, and content-content-content….how ‘bout we edit ourselves down to “100 seconds”…? It’ll be fun to push ourselves to be smart, witty, fun and inspiring if we manage our communication tightly.
Ultimately, "100 seconds on..." is designed to promote positive selling and management actions and behaviors that motivate others in their individual pursuit of peak performance and 100% effort!
The concept:
I interview you on a recorded zoom chat that quickly (100 seconds) hits on a singular selling, managing or business lesson. There are limitless topics for us to choose ranging from hard skills (prospecting, qualifying, objection handling, negotiating) to unique selling moments or internal situations that you experienced just the other day. Our goal is to showcase a specific smart and/or strategic behavior of yours that teaches and motivates others. We will, of course, agree on the topic for our "100 seconds on..." ahead of time.
The execution:
As you know, 100 seconds goes fast so we'll start with some basic questions to establish who you are (see below for sample questions), then we'll dive into our chosen topic. To capture as much authenticity as possible and communicate as best we can, we will limit our "takes" to three or four max, then choose the right one for distribution. Unscripted does not mean we won't prepare.... for example, if our session is “100 seconds on objection handling”, you will come prepared with some tips and an anecdote highlighting your expert objection handling moves!
Why you?
You have successfully acquired and possess strong skills, habits, and a great attitude about your craft and thus, have much value to offer others. Specifically, I love that you have learned to appraise how your actions and performance correlate to the positive results you frequently achieve. Few have as much scar tissue as us, and I feel it's our responsibility to share our nuggets and inspire others so our industry continues to thrive.
Our audience:
After our recorded session, I'll put a short back-end "wrapper" on our "100 seconds" to polish it a bit, and then push our clip through this Core 6 Advisors site, LinkedIn, and perhaps Twitter if I ever get around to using that platform again. And of course, you are free to post, send, share our content through whatever channels you choose. If you do not want you and “our 100 seconds of content” being used for promotional purposes, then let's pick another fun project to work on together.
Interview flow:
While I am trying to create space for spontaneity and authentic human interaction during our recorded session, there will be a general blueprint to our session and it will follow something like this…
1. Who are you, where do you work?
2. What is your role/function?
3. What are you most proud of at X company?
4. What are you most proud of in your career?
5. We jointly selected X as today’s “100 seconds on” topic, why is it important to you?
6. Regarding our "100 seconds topic" - what specifically have you learned or done recently that can inspire our viewers?
Why "100 seconds"?
The pursuit of individual peak performance and "100% effort" continues to be an obsession of mine. Every single action I take at Core 6 Management Advisors is driven by my need to help B2B sellers and sales managers be the best they can be. As you know about me, I actively coach communication "brevity and clarity" in all of my workshops because most B2B sellers talk too much.
"100 seconds on..." hits multiple buttons for us:
Thanks for considering joining me on this fun project! Please ping me after you've read this page, have thought about what topic you'd like to highlight, and have a 45-minute block of time to commit to execution! (Please also include some calendar spots that best work for you.)
best,
Michael

"100 seconds on..." hits multiple buttons for us:
- it aligns with the concept of applying 100% effort in our jobs (and outside of work too);
- it makes us practice what we preach regarding communication "brevity and clarity" (creates boundaries for us to be efficient and hopefully more engaging as we'll be on the clock);
- it gives us a shot at being viewed...it seems everyone is "consumption impatient" these days. Ha!
